A proud moment for me today! I got an XF 2009-D D.C. Quarter in change.

With this Quarter, I now have a 'roll' (actually, a plastic Quarter
tube!) of forty 2009 Territorial Quarters that were all given to me
in my change!

The tube contains 23 District Of Columbia-D's, 10 Puerto Rico-D's
and 7 Guam-D's.

I pay cash for all of my face-to-face transactions, and even with
that factor, it took from January until Sept. 6th, 2009 for me to
receive forty 2009 Quarters in change. Some of our members haven't
even received a 2009 Quarter in change yet!

To celebrate this milestone (in true 'DNA' fashion) I will spend $4
in 2009-P Quarters, four of each of the four reverse designs
issued as yet.

Any 'P' Quarter after 2001 is a rare sight in Denver circulation,
2007/2008's are almost impossible, and as far as the 2009's go,
even 2009-D's are hard to find, and the 2009-P's would be
right up there with U.F.O.'s in terms of rarity in sightings....

Sadly, I am one of those members.

But I have not given up yet. It might take five years, but I will find them.

I've actually received a total of 28 District Of Columbia 'D' Quarters
in my change (so far), but I traded five of those to my co-workers.

Over the Labor Day weekend, all of my donations to MDA were made with
American Samoa-D Quarters. Unless those firefighters check their boots
for specific Quarters, those might make it to circulation.

Not to worry, jbuck, I still haven't found any 2009 Dimes
or Nickels in circulation. In fact, local stores are still getting
rolls of BU 2008-D Dimes and Nickels from the Denver Federal Reserve.
I get a BU Dime/Nickel in change, I get excited, then I see that it's a 2008...

I think I'm up to 9 Territory quarters! All from Credit Unions with a 4 coin limit. One I actually got in change from buying up loose half dollars from the credit union!
