i have a one dime from the usa and it's 1902 I don't know how much it is worth.

i can't give u a picture so I describe it:

on the "heads" side it has a a side view of a mans face: he has a wreath around his head. with the words united states of america and 1902.

on the "tails" side it has the words one dime surrounded by another wreath. the words are still visible and face is a bit worn but still visible.

it has a little "O" underneath the wreath.

need to know how much it is worth

thanks

Hi Domino.
Welcome to the forum.

The coin sounds like a 1902 Barber dime.

It's value will depend on it's grade, which is difficult to tell without pictures. If your new to coins, don't clean it!!

Check out e-bay, there are a few for sale on there.
This may give you an idea of what it is worth.

Regards

Steve

From your discription the coin could be worth $1.75 to $60.00

Depending on condition and if it has a Mint Mark

Under the wreath is there a little "O" or "S"?

A picture is worth a thousand words.

On the obverse (heads side) there should be a small band with LIBERTY on it across the forehead. If you can see any of this, what letters are visible? If you can't see any of it, the condition is a maximum of Good (G4) and it's only worth around $1.75.

Ok, So it's a 1902O Barber dime Mintage 4,500,000.
Not a lot considering that the 2002P had a mintage of 1,842,500,000 and the 2002D had a mintage of 1,818,700,000.
What a difference a hundred yers make.

Your coin is 90% silver and 10% copper.

On the mans Headband if you can't read any letters the coin is worth $3.00
If you can see 3 letters of the word "Liberty" then $4.50
All the letters it's worth $14.00 if All the letters are clear and none worn down $24.00
If it's better than that, it's time to take a photo of it. LOL

It's called a Barber dime because it was designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver of the USA mint. He also designed a 25 cent and 50 cent piece of the time.

Isn't the barber design actually Liberty, not a man? I agree that it looks like a man.
