I use a scanner to take pics of my coins to post. Without investing in a new camera what can I do?

Scanner why not? They produce perfectly clear pictures for posting purposes, excepting the lack of ability to show luster. Keep the sensitivity to 600dpi or less for posting whole-coin pics; 300dpi will do. Remember, very few of us are looking at these pics with a monitor which will show more than 100dpi. That keeps file size down. A clear scan of a coin which is 650 pixels in diameter is enough to come up with a tentative grade and firm attribution of a Bust Half.
