With the purchase today of the 1916-S from ebay, and the 1921-P and 1921-D from Harlan Berk, I have completed the Walking Liberty half dollar set. Most of it was inherited from my Uncle and Mother and they pulled them from circulation, but I had to buy around 12 dates. These dates included all of the keys and some of the semi-keys. The early dates are mostly VG-8 with full four figure dates, and no serious marks and NO rim dings. A few may have old cleanings, but nothing obvious. When the new purchases are delivered I will try and photograph the set and post it. From a financial standpoint, I think my compulsion to finish date and mint sets of circulated coins is not the best decision. Oh well, I can't seem to help myself. My family started it and I seem to need to finish it.

Nice work. The walkers are indeed quite a nice coin. Any thoughts on if you are going to start going for something new?

If it gives you pleasure then it is an excellent decision!

The following comment also relates to your other thread. My advice, and this is only my opinion, is to stop worrying about future value. I understand your concerns, but look at it this way: even if some of the coins lost value, they probably still would have performed better than any other items you have bought!

Good work! The 21-D is the one I'd really like to have....someday.

I was in Berk's last week, looking through their massive collection of coin books for sale. If you're in downtown Chicago on a weekday it's an interesting place to stop and browse.

Yeah I have nothing but praise for Berk. I just purchased a Dansco album for the set. I will photograph it when I get the coins in the album and post it.

Hi Colin.
Very nice set, I have been up grading my short set for the last few weeks. I have thought about doing business with Harlan Berk just was not sure how good of a dealer he was. Maybe now I will look at his web site and try an order or two thanks.
Bruce.
