I never noticed the doubling on it til tonight. Just shows I am paying attention. I was just curious what kind of doubling this might be? thanks for your help. Report this Post to the Staff

This is interesting...because it doesn't look like die wear (to me). Not sure on a DDO...I see no separation. But I wonder if someone re-engraved the die to make some letters stronger? The U looks like there's a funny angle cut across. I do have a 1940 NFLD 1c struck with a re-engraved die. Report this Post to the Staff
