It's interesting the criteria that folks use to grade these. For most grades given, I agree or would be more conservative. This one however I feel deserves a solid VF-20. There is full strong separation of cheek and jaw on the obverse and the wheat lines are complete on the reverse. It is interesting to me that the 14-d I posted received an F-15 to VF-20, while this one got mostly F-12s. In my mind, this is the higher grade coin out of those two(though I wish it were the other way around). But hey, we all have different opinions and ways we determine grade and that what makes grading fun. :-) Thank you all for your comments!

I think it makes a very strong Fine so F-15 I am basing the grade mainly on the wear on the reverse wheat stalks. For it to make VF-20 for me it needs to have full stalk lines with the given wear. This coins shows some blending on the left side of the reverse pic. I tend to be pretty strict on grading,, I would prefer someone think I under graded the coin than over graded, especially when selling. Just my $.02
