If I sold silver to a dealer, would I get the same price for a 1990 1oz Silver Maple as I would with a 2008 1oz Silver Maple?

It depend on dates you want to sell. Exemple : 1996 and 1997 worth maybe 50$ more than other basic dates if the are sealed in original RCM mylar pouch. Privy marks silver maple leaf worth more as item collection than regular issur silver maple leaf. Personnally I'm one of those that think that silver will raise in the future and maybe will worth same as gold today. I have a complete set (all) silver maple leaf ever produced and I will not sell them ever .

What exactly you want to sell? Dates, sealed?, privy marks? , errors?

Those bullion sometimes worth more as items of collection before selling them be sure what kind of poeple you want to sell.

Silver collector will sometimes pay only silver value

Silver maple leaf collector can offer more

Good luck ,
Simon

Hi coinage, I would have to agree with Silvermaple.. certain dates do carry more of a premium ,and he is correct..Most dealers will try to bamboozle you to sell stricktly as bullion... Collectors like Silver maple , myself and others might be prepared to offer you more...

The reason why I ask is because there is a Bullion store selling ".999 Canada 1oz silver maple leaf sealed, 1988-2003 - Spot +$1.50 per oz, dates our choice". This would cost $18.33 an ounce.

When I check out my local dealer, he sells at "1 oz Silver Maple Leafs $21.97"

I was thinking of picking up some of those older coins, I'm just wondering if a 1988 Maple leaf would sell just as well as a 2008. Silver is Silver, right? Other than numismatic valued silver coins. I'm more interested in the Silver content and for the easiest resale.

I'm wondering if I could resell the same as the dealer selling for $21.97... same price range.

At $18.33 per ounce, my question would be, "how many do you have to sell?"

At 18.33 $ sealed dates between 1988-2003 WOW its cheap buy as much you can afford you can make lot of money with this transaction.

and yes for silver content 1988 to 2009 is the same value.

Silver is silver, it doesn't matter what the date on the coin is. What does matter is the mintage and grade of a particular date.
