I know this Sands chip is over 40 years old, but can anybody put a date to it, and are they collected?

According to this website, that token was issued in 1965 and it would have been minted until 1971. Casino tokens, especially classics like this one and the silver strikes, are actively collected.

Thanks for the link. I thought I had a pretty good collection of Gamming dollars maybe 50 or 60 different casino tokens now I see I was only scraping the surface. Now that tokens have been replaced with tickets it makes them more interesting. I have a collection of old nickle size slot tokens from the 30s with some pretty interesting logos. This was a great link thanks again.
