The imagery looks British but the legend (the little bit that I can make out) puzzles me. Could you, please, either take close-ups or type the legend by hand?

I can see no numbers on the first pic and only letters on the 2nd pic. Yes a bigger pic with closeup on the letters would be needed for your post   |

Here's the reverse of a one UK pound, that looks mighty similar to the first second pic:  Quote:

Whatever it is, it's not a coin. It's probably a card game counter.
The arms and the motto, "Dieu et mon Droit" (French for "God and my right") on both the pound coin and the mystery item are those of Great Britain.
I can't make out enough detail on the other side to identify the other arms. It's got a turreted crown of a city, so it's probably the arms of the city where the object was made.

Thats the same as the pound cpoin but it doesent say pound Ill get a better pic of the other side, It apperas to Have 3 sail boats in the middle

Looks to me as a coat of arms of city of Paris (an older version). Here's what they have now  |

what type metal is it? it appears not worn out at top areas where it should show signs of wear, and background around the letters show it was not die punched like a coin, could it be a checker piece? just a guess  it's not a coin |

If they put a French design on one side and a British design on the other, they could export a single jeton type to both countries, rather than having to make separate types for each destination. I have a jeton with similar dual nationality: it's got Queen Victoria on one side and the French emperor Napoleon III on the other. This message is for "Texas Connection". I also have the coin that has "Dieu Droit Et Mon" on 1 side. Have you any info about it yet? Thanks. I'm new to this forum and unsure if I'm doing this post correctly.

You're doing fine, glejeune, and welcome to the forum.  As has been pointed out in this thread, it's not a coin, but some kind of "card counting token", the 19th century equivalent of our "play money". Such items would have been sold with decks of cards, and used as gambling substitutes in places where gambling with actual money was illegal or socially unacceptable. The image is exactly as shown above under "better pics" from Texas connection. Has coat of arms with sailboat/s on opposite. So it's an interesting piece, probably from 1800's, more than likely a game/gambling piece, right?
