SO how would you guys grade these 2 coins from the Philippines? They are 1944 S one centavo and five centavo coins. These were notorious for their weak strike, so it can be a wee bit difficult to grade these guys.

They both look to be EF-40.

hmm Really, only EF? I must admit that I was expected AU or so. Does anyone know what might have caused the odd brown spotting on the reverse of the 5 centavos?

Year 1944 is not a good year for unc coins. Here's one of my best 1944S, just a VG8, battered but nice red color
