It's been so long, and the forum's rules have been amended since I was at 50 posts, so I'm not sure exactly what the e-mail says. But it depends; you should be able to send e-mails, register for the General Discussion forum, and similar things. Some other forums have a forum-hosted web-based private message system; this one doesn't. That was a deliberate decision by Bobby and Susan back when the forum was founded, as they'd had bad experiences with the PM system on other forums. People sometimes still say "PM me" out of habit, but around here they really mean "e-mail me".
