I just received an email notifying me of my new perks, but I haven't been a member for 14 days yet, so when I reach 14 days, I can do the stuff the email said, right? Thanks. And also, PMs are the links that say click to send an email, right?

It's been so long, and the forum's rules have been amended since I was at 50 posts, so I'm not sure exactly what the e-mail says. But it depends; you should be able to send e-mails, register for the General Discussion forum, and similar things. The Buy-Sell-Trade section still has the 14 day waiting period before you can take part.

Correct. Some other forums have a forum-hosted web-based private message system; this one doesn't. That was a deliberate decision by Bobby and Susan back when the forum was founded, as they'd had bad experiences with the PM system on other forums. People sometimes still say "PM me" out of habit, but around here they really mean "e-mail me".
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
