Trying to complete a franklin collection. Just bought this on ebay for $61.00. Looked like a pretty good price-what do you think?

Yeah definitely a good deal. It has nice eye appeal and PCGS lists it for $245. Any pics of the reverse?

Not sure how the reverse picture is going to look, I may can get a better one when the coins arrives later in the week. I do have several toned coins in my collection; actually, some of the more expensive coins in the set are toned.

Got a no edge lettering Washington dollar for 10 bucks, about ms-60, at the recent Long Beach show.

Nice coin but I hope those spots are due to the photo and not on the coin. Odd pink appearance in the first photo or is it my monitor?

Good buy. I did a little looking on my way to making this comment, and was struck by the insane price swing in Heritage results for this coin. I saw gavel prices anywhere from $80-ish to over $300 for this exact coin/grade over the last year, and the results didn't seem to have any correlation to toning. Wierdness.
Either way, you bought yours for less than any Heritage has sold.

Quote: Nice coin but I hope those spots are due to the photo and not on the coin. Odd pink appearance in the first photo or is it my monitor? Well the whole image looks pink to me, not just the coin, so I'm guessing it's the light. I don't care for the toning, but if it's a 66 FBL, nice deal... Joe

I find it interesting that a coin can have that much toning and still be an MS66. I would have thought that it would have knocked the overall grade down a few points.
