I picked these up at the Philly Expo yesterday(absolutely amazing). While I was there I saw the Grand Watermelon Note and other amazing pieces. There were too many booths for me to see in one day. Anyway what do you think they will grade.

I am curious what people say, because I have the first 5 of these from San Francisco Mint and I am having a hard time trying to figure out what they grade. Can't wait to see

The 1879 S graded MS65 PL but the 1880 S graded only MS65. Do you think there was a mistake?

No I think those are both fair grades, I'm always conservative in my grades.

From the pics the 1880 actually looks more proof like, what holder are they in?

Those are two beauties. I would grade both at least MS-63, with the 1880 possibly going as high as MS-65.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I bought it in hopes of it possibly resubmitting as a PL. I think the coin is just beautiful. I paid $150 for it.

I would resubmit for sure, if you could get it returned proof like you could tack at least another $75 on top of that price. And I think you have a really good chance.
