Just found my first 1994P 1DR-001 tonight.

It's also in a real nice condition.

Thanks!

Bill:
I was very surprised to see this when I turned it over- same as when I found my only 99 Wide AM.

I had to give it a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things! (LOL)

Nice to know that coins like this are still in general circulation- just gotta keep at it.
They are out there!

I had the same feeling when I found my 1968D DDR. I still don't have one of these and really want to find one some day...but there are still a lot of others higher on the list. Like the 1983 DDR.
Rest in Peace

I totally agree with one of Chuck's previous posts about finds being a numbers game. I search about 5000 coins/week and have been fairly lucky with some good finds (1995 DDO, 1997 DDO, lots of 7th column doubling, wide AMs and my prize-a 1983 DDR. I only use a loupe and miss lots of stuff I'm sure because "notches" are really tough for me to see. I've also only found 2 RPMs. Looking for major finds is ok because if I'm not going to find stuff, I'm not going to find good stuff.

I like this DDR--a microscope isn't needed to see it.
