You've just given me a fun half-hour.

1827's are tough to attribute, if only because there are so many choices - 49 varieties are known for this year. I'm still not sure, but tentatively we'll call this one O-133. It's listed as R.4, but seems more common than that on the ground.

The clasp is very weak, usually an indicator of wear. However, in my research I noted that even the most premium examples (this variety counts MS66's among the Condition Census) at Heritage showed the same lack of detail. So, we call the clasp a non-factor in grading. With that in mind, I'm thinking (conservatively) VF35-XF40 and a value probably north of $200 with original surfaces.

This is a difficult one to attribute as Dave said. I had one the other day that he helped me with. So with that in mind I hate to disagree. From what I can see I believe this is O.131. Listed as R2. I would grade it as EF-40.

That was my second choice. The feature which tipped my thinking is the number of stripes which penetrate the crossbars on Moe's coin - they're obvious even in his relatively-small pic, and much more prevalent with O-133 than with O-131 according to Heritage's pictures.

Not that this would be my first mistake.

I see what your saying, O.131 doesn't show the lines running into the bars. I'm seeing some of the strips filled, or is that just wear? Also all the stars appear to be recut with extra points and I see what appears to be a die line between the L and I. Which makes me believe that it's O.131. I've just started collecting this series so I can be way off base on my attribution.
