What program can I use to set a black or white background around the coin?

Hi Podoprigora, I use microsoft 'Paint' programme, in .bmp which I later save as .jpeg, in it is tool bar icon of a paint can being poured, choose color and click icon beside the coin. You can change coin background to whatever color you want

I use the software called "Old worn cotton T-shirt."

Seriously, though, just about any postprocessing software will have this capability. It's more about the ability to accurately crop the picture to remove what you don't want - that's enough of a hassle to make me prefer to use a background I don't mind in the picture, every time.

I agree with Dave. If your background is black to begin with, it doesn't matter what software you are using. Check out Triggersmob setup in the topic Here.
