So, I recently posted a thread about an 8 reales dated 1787 that had the 1803-1810 assayer mark TH. Thanks to swamperbob and other kind posters, the truth came out that this was a late silver bullion counterfeit.
I had returned them to the seller and he seemed to acknowledge the mistake of selling the fakes, stating that the coins will be melted down for silver bullion.
Apparently two other people who bought this same exact coin with the same exact, wrong, mark had left positive feedback.
And he has re-listed yet another... item [eBayItem]230385429606[/eBayItem]

Just goes to show... even clear and obvious evidence of a fake will not prevent the greedy from trying to turn a buck. I hope the buyers will realize that they've been had and take the proper action!

Seriously, the guy listed three same exact 1787's... that are identical in appearance. I don't see how that would be possible for genuine coins.

I actually managed to get in touch with the two other buyers, at least one of them is sending it back. =)
