1956 Wheat Cent -- Doubled Die Reverse / DDR ?

JOE Valued Member United States 164 Posts	Posted 10/07/2009 05:56 am I thought that this coin looked similar to the one on coppercoins.com (link below) http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=lds The "Pl" in "Plurbis" seems stretched at the bottom, And the dots also seem doubled. The die crack on the head is about the same except yours is not a long. It would probably take Bob on coppercoins to know for sure a hands on approach. But definitely a DDR. Too bad there wasn't a mint mark on it, then ID would have been made easier. The coin is a little rough compared to the example on coppercoins, so that would lower the value some.
