Is there any way to determine the alloy on a 1964 cent just by looking at the obverse (NOT including the "with L" bronze variety")?

I'm looking to buy the CN variety on ebay soon and some are not identified as being either. I was hoping someone here could clue me into any difference in the obverses so that I could tell which alloy was used.

If you can note the lighter tinge, from the nickle, then you would still have to weigh it to be sure. The color alone, is not definite enough,(for me), to be sure. Weigh any you are not sure of. Copper-Nickel will weigh 4.67 gm,+/-, due to wear. Bronze will weigh 3.11 gms. Same exceptions. Hope this helps.

The CN cents are also thicker than the bronze cents.
