I was just looking up error notes, and there are some pretty serious errors. Why were they not shredded and replaced by star notes? How did they get out?
Human error, likely. Someone just missed them. I doubt that they actually scrutinize every bill, and only issue star notes when an obvious error occurs or when they know a sheet got fed in upside down, or missed a stage in printing, etc.
I don't know but I would sure be excited to find one like that in my wallet! Admittedly I wonder why they don't catch stuff like that but their mistake is our gain. But a star note? That really does take the proverbial cake!
