Beautiful looking coin, Andrew.

Nice detail, and strike.

I would say AU-55, I think it would make MS, if not for the scratches.

Nice detail for its age! I wondered if the photos convey the luster of the coin?
I'm not good at grading these 50c--so I did some quick research.
The flat spots on the leaves do happen in higher grades, so that might be strike?
Looking at high points on the portrait, I think I see some wear--EF40-45 is my guess.

By ICCS standards, VF-20, scratches.

By PCGS standards, close to XF.

who cares about ICCS.....
EF 45, cleaned and scratched.Possibly a a forgery made by the
C.H.I.N.A company and artificially aged and scratched
my 5 cents worth...
NO offense please.... I mean NO harm. But they do make these and unless we can see Real, NOT modified scans or pictures in true color, I stick to my prediction.

Hate to seem like I'm pointing out the obvious, but knnowing the difference between real and fake is just the reason to care about TPG's...

I would lean to EF noted scratches. Looks real to me the toning looks natural from the rim towards the center and the wear looks natural.

Nothing there that points to a fake. I'd go VF, Too bad about the scratches, but still a nice coin.

VF30, I think the scratches are not that serious. Good photos seem to make mountains of molehills.

I like this coin...and alway get a kick out of how Vickies eye balls seem to be bulding out of their sockets.
Id go EF with it..but I love the detail on the obverse.
