Apparently the new proof Gold Buffs for this year will be matte finish instead of the regular satin finish. Can anyone say investability? The matte silver kennedy and matte nickels have all gone up in value substantially from issue price. I would think that this matte buffalo will have a low mintage because of the high issue price at the moment, over $1300 dollars. Theres no indication that gold will be decreasing anytime soon, so what do you guys think. A good buy or no?

Might be.......but I can only stand on the sidelines and watch....

It's not in my "financial planning itinerary" ...

I don't know though if the "matte finish" would matter or not with the future value......against an '08 reg. Buff. for example.....it "should" matter....but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

I have to be honest and say that I didn't really care for the "fields" or the "finish look" on my two '06 1oz. Gold Buffs.
They really looked more like an Uncirculated version than a Proof version to me, in some ways. (happy with the design.....generally...but....I'm just sayin')
If the "Matte Finish" is a drastic beautiful stunning difference between the two years......then I'd say you'll have a WINNER !
