How do you go about forming one of these exhibits and where is a show that such a thing is allowed? I've been looking at the ANA summer seminar and figured it would be good to have a few credits under my belt.

Not sure what type of display your talking about but at almost every show I go to there are dealers that have some coins in closed and locked show cases and a note that says for show purposes only and not for sale. I never could figure out why anyone would take something somewhere where sales are the topic and not sell something.

Just Carl, I have exhibited some of my coins at coin shows because I want to share my love of the hobby with others. When I attended the ANA World of Money in LA there was a bigger crowd in the exhibit areas than in the sales area. Many people (myself included) go to shows to learn as well as shop. I started collecting Spanish Colonial 8 Reales because of an exhibit I saw at a coin show back in 1975, I had never been exposed to coins like that before and they have become my passion in the hobby.

Coins 92...get connected with a local coin club. Most clubs either host or attend shows as a group and they can set you up with a chance to set up a display at a local show. Many clubs will have members that will help you plan it out as well. Our local club encourages people to set up displays at our shows we hold twice a year.
