Requesting information on mintage for this coin and comments as to how rare this coin might be. It's made of aluminum. Thank you

Well these coins were minted from 1951 to 1956, and then from 1965 onwards. Krause says the mintage for 1952 is 105.15 million which makes it the 4th most common date of the series.

From what I've seen, I must say that the 1950s and 1970s are quite common in lots. The 1950s I find are, however, usually more worn than the example shown.

OK I dug up the newer Krause, it says: $0.50 in Very Fine, $3 in EF.

These are pretty common in bulk lots of obsolete European coins.
DL20K, don't you have that strange 10 Lire...that's possibly a counterfeit? That's a cool coin!

Yes, you're correct. It's a 1950s date as well.

Yes, this coin is quite common, years before 1968 are usually in VF grade, while XF and UNC are quite rare.
Years after 1968 are much more common also in XF and UNC, they has been minted up to 2001, while the last 2 years they has been included only in mint BU set.
Anyway you can have a look at my site http://mycoins.altervista.org/Italy...nage1-20.htm where you can find the picture for all 10 lire, also previous 1951.
