Looks like a medal commemorating Napoleon Bonaparte with the dates of his life: born 15 August 1769, died 5 May 1821.
In the rays of the "eagle star" is the list of his battles.

I believe the inscription around the rim of the star commemorates the transportation of Napoleon's body back to France from St Helena in 1840.

It is indeed about his body 'translation' from St. Helene.. some of the medals show the ship on the reverse that transported him.

This is pretty interesting (lots of politics, ha!) but if you can wade through all that, starting on page 301 is his mother's letter requesting the remains of her son, and years later the resulting trip from St. Helene. Very,very interesting piece of history. I had read similar articles but not this detailed. It is so funny how you can learn history from Coins/Tokens/Medals.

The funny part is I used to absolutely loooooathe history. Don't tell my Mom it's my favorite 'subject' now..
