As a sideline I buy gold & silver at yard sales, auctions & antique shops. I drove by an antique shop today that I hadn't been in for a while, so I decided to stop. I ended up buying a Franklin Mint 1973 Nixon/Agnew Inaugural Set, which had a proof sterling silver medal, a bronze medal & a sterling silver plate.

These things are huge! I didn't weigh the bronze medal but the silver one weighs right at 6 troy ounces. My scale can only weigh items a little more than 10 troy ounces; the plate exceeded the limit. The original boxes with what I think is all the paperwork was included. Even the little acrylic tripods for displaying the medals were in the box.

Generally I send everything to the refiner. I'm not a Nixon/Agnew fan but it seems like the set might be worth more than melt to someone. Any ideas where I could sell this thing for more than the 90% of melt I get from my refiner?

I can't weigh the plate with my scale. I'm guessing it weighs 12 troy ounces(troy lb.) because that's twice what the silver medal weighs. Does anyone have any idea what this thing might weigh?
