Does anyone know whether CCF member Eel ever reported back on his error quarter? Was it slabbed or rejected by PCGS? Did it turn out to be a fabrication?

For those that don't remember, this coin appeared to be a 1972 Washington quarter that had been struck on a 1964-dated silver quarter. Remnants of the host coin date and features were clearly visible under the 1972-dated overstrike. The weight was reported as about 6.25 grams which would be correct for a silver quarter. The coin had been examined I believe by Forum Mom Susan and then sent to PCGS for authentication.

Inquiring minds want to know!
