This killed me. Were they grading the scratches? Because they do look shiny!

Please note your making fun of the NASC company. That's the Normally Actually Scratched Coin company. So what you see is authenticated as a MS = Many Scratched service coin with possibly 66 scratches on the obverse alone.
And with 9 bids so far some may suspect the reverse is even more scratched making this even a higher grade.

There should be an asterik next to the MS-66*

*NASC = Not As Stated Condition [with the coin in slab]

I love the free velvet bag and shiny gold box.

Plus he sold 4 1909 VDB Lincolns... 3 of the 4 are the same pictures and all pictures look like the coins were dipped to make them "red" again.

I suspect your mixing up the 70 point system for regular coinage with the scratched coin system.
Please note that the NASC system could go as hogh as 1,000 so your 68 and/or 69 would not be to fantastic in this system.
Or you may well be thinking of the NADC system for the Normally Actual Dented Coins.
