hey everyone I pulled this coin out of a bank roll a couple
of months ago.i noticed the weird imprints/raised areas and saw that
the reverse had been printed on the obverse! I have taken this coin
to many different shows and dealers, and they all have said that I
need to get this coin slabbed for the clash error ASAP. Does anyone
know anyhting about this? thanks a lot. By the way I had to clean it
in order to remove the grunge and see the weird features :(

The pics belong to madhandles

Madhandles,, this is an interesting coin,, it certianly looks authentic,, since it has been cleaned probly the only service that will slab it is Anacs.

Perhaps you should think about submitting it for authentification and slabbing.

or at the Minimum try these guys !!

I think it is post mint damage. Looks like a squeeze job to me. Better pics would help, but it looks like everything is incluse.

Absolutely, positively, no question a post-mint damage "squeeze job" and would be a complete waste of time to try slabbing it.

Clashes affect the field of the coin. Squeeze jobs affect the raised relief of the coin. This is because a true clash involves the dies, on which the fields are the highest points. Squeeze jobs involve coins, on which the design is the highest point.

It's impossible to accurately copy the effects of a clash using coins because the relief is in negative on dies...take another look at the image, I think you'll see what I'm referring to.
