Congrats on a great find!
Can you post a pic of the C in Cents? If there is no die crack, you probably have an EDS not MDS.

OK chuckster, here's the C. I still don't see anything. Could it be a LDS ?

Thanks for the pic.
I'm no expert on this, but I think it is an EDS since I do not see any die crack on the C of Cent ( 1 of the MDS Marker from Chuck's site) and you say it has lot's of luster
If the details etc are very sharp, I would say its not a LDS cent.
Again- this is IMHO. Let's see if any experts state what they think it is.

It could be a die state between the two examples on coppercoins. It could be a different die on the reverse. It could be a different obverse die, maybe a new one. Some things that could be answered with more images. (1)I notice no images of the lower part of the beard/neck area. (2) An image of the LIB area would help to identify die state. It looks like the same die number, but without extra images it is just a guess so far.

No help yet. The area west of the beard and the lower part of the ear. The LIB does show it is EDS/EMDS coin.

The marking under the beard area are a confirmation. That's it. Quote: Coop whats EDS/EMDS stand for? Dies go through an aging process just like we do. Instead of years/decades/period of times, die only live a few hours/days. Thus the designation of EDS (Early Die State, MDS (Mid Die State), LDS (Late Die State) and VLDS (Very Late Die States). The division of ages of people are a little vague. Toddler, Child, Adult and Senior. The exact areas of our age vary with numbers for our years. But die states seen on coins may/may not fit exactly or some examples may vary between the die states. Thus the notation of EMDS (Early Mid Die State) Or another could be LMDS (Late Mid Die State) These are harder to decide on, but the markers on a coin may vary from the three major die states and thus the identification between the die states. Hope this helps.

coop: Thanks for your help! I'm thinking numismo's coin is completely EDS. Very sharp details, especially the beard. Yes/No? At least I got it right in that its not LDS!

Harder to tell from center devices. The die states show up first on the outside edges of the die on the devices next to the rim. No worries on anyone being right or correct, it is just better to see what others think and see if it holds water. But it is still a nice find that I've never found yet. Someday....... There is also the designation VEDS. (Very Early Die State) Still in the infant state of use. Check out the description of how the die state affects this die: MDS: http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=mdsLDS: http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=ldsNote the missing lower doubling. What would an EDS look like? Note the lower part of the doubled three. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum..._Jason_C.jpgSorry for getting off the trail to much, but thought I would share.
