As far as I'm aware, both "rings" are struck simultaneously. It's therefore impossible to get an "obverse" with Queen Elizabeth's titles and the polar bear in the centre, without making a special die.

What I suspect has happened here is that someone (not necessarily the seller, in this case) has punched the cores out of two separate twoonies, filed the queen sides of the plugs down so they both fit into the ring, and jammed both plugs back-to-back into one of the rings.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Not a mint error, fabricated by someone,I have a couple of two-tailed quarters made by a jeweller.

Coins like this are always available on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Magician-Two-He...ck_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/310183903219 target= _blank rel= nofollow https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/310183903219 /a 310183903219QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item483866bff3http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-KING-GEORGE...IN_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/380118919122 target= _blank rel= nofollow 380118919122 /a QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5880da67d2 ready for another head to be cut out milled to the proper thickness and then pressed in.I hope the seller doesn't really expect anyone to believe this coin came from the mint.I bought a couple of ICCS slabbed coins from him last week, now I'm concerned about their veracity.

I see photography and literacy are not his strongest qualities. If he genuinely believes it is real, then we can add Counterfeit Detection to the list!

I wouldn't worry DBM. The sellers state-of-the-art technology includes taping a coin to a table to photograph it, so the chances of him fabricating and re-sealing ICCS holders in a convincing manner are probably somewhat remote.

This is not an error - it is a fabrication (and easy to be made)

The seller KNOWS this coin is not an error. The only protection unaware buyers have is the reserve price.

... Now ... I take issue about criticizing someone's literacy. An appology to the board would be welcome

I have e-mailed this seller a few times since last thursday,he knows what this coin is,and how it was made. From his replies to me what he doesn't uderstand is that "errror" and "unusual" are not the same thing.Error has a specific meaning in the lexicon of this hobby. He doesn't need a great command of English to sell coins but he should be familiar with the terms used in this hobby.

If a cashier spotted this twoonie, it might be refused as payment. So this coin is worthless.
Nobody should pay $155 for a worthless coin, so I reported the auction.
