If you had the possibility of bidding on this (assuming you collect/ed world coins), how much would you bid?

How-Much-Would-You-Bid?

The description says there are 500+ coins, and the lot is placed in the "others" category. The shipping costs are within reason. This is the only photo.

I am not planning to bid, so maybe this thread should have a "just for fun" label, but anyway I'd like to know.

500 x 5¢ each = $25 + s&h...I'd pay that just for the fun of digging through and seeing what's in there. Probably wouldn't go any higher and actually would probably not even want to pay that much without knowing ANYTHING about what's in it. I enjoy grab bags like that though...I'm a sucker for random lots with the possibility of finding a "deal" in there somewhere

HEY DLK! Congrats on 2000 posts!
Also, interesting bag there. I bet the shipping cost a lot. I wouldn't pay more than $20.00 or $25 total incl shipping but I would be happy to be finding pre 1900 coins in there or any silver.
It would make an instant collection wouldn't it?

Did the auction sell or is it current? I'm curious as to how much someone did end up paying for it.

It's an ongoing auction here. I have noted the number and will try to check and let you know.

Yup, the shipping is ~$5.

Unless of course, it turns out to be pure junk, like the one I bought before. Everything looked like it was stored in the basement.. or in a pool.. That's not a kind of collection I'm looking for

Bulk foreign coinage can be bought for $8 a pound, I believe.

I haven't forgotten. The lots (there were two like this) went for:

$8.26 and $7.53
