I just got this coin by random. I am not an expert but this is quite a curious crack. However, how could this be done? Is it laser or a real mint accident?

You can find a couple of high resolution photos here.

It is not a crack, the coin has been cut and metal was removed. Regardless of how it happened, it was not done by the Mint.

Thanks a lot biokemist6! That is what I thought, but since I have no clue about coins, I just wanted to confirm it. Regards,
