He actually has some good coins tonight. I thought it impossible, but I may actually bid on several (form Centsles!). Look at, for example [eBayItem]140364842765[/eBayItem] . Can someone tell me how this is wrong and should be avoided,....PLEASE.

If the marks are as they appear, is only a 65.

It looks like the description was edited after DBM made this post. That's why it looks like we're missing something.

I sure hope so because when I read the description I saw nothing senseless nor humorous about the description

On the slab, it doesn't say 6 over 7.

This seller is a horrible over grader.....now attempting to sell coins unattributed......The humour may be tongue in cheek.....

Steve, the only reason that I'd avoid it has nothing to do with centsles, but with the fact that the same coin could probably be had in an ICCS PL-66 holder.

I know the E-bay seller "centsles" gets a lot of flack because of the homemade slabs and the poorly graded (overgraded)coins he/she sells. However, you have to give this seller some credit, after all, who do you know on E-bay who has a 120,000 Feedback rating at 99.3 % +, a Platinum power seller , worldwide shipping with 2,000+ transactions per month and a mere handful/month of negative (-) Feedback. WOW, I must say I'm impressed. I would never buy any of this sellers coins unless something really impressive came along, but with all the + Feedback he's received with all the International sales he's made in the past 10 years on E-bay, I have to give him credit. Hi 1cent,
Perhaps, but looking at the 2 population reports it more likely would cross as a 67 at ICCS. I've got one of the other PCGS 1956 PL68 dollars and it crossed as 67UHC.

Glency, there is a moral and a business aspect to Centsles. The ONLY way they became successful is: Quote: because there is NO regulation or norm on Coin grades! the slabs all say: Quote: In our opinion . NOBODY has to share their opinion!! But.. it is usually the unsuspecting collector, or the very savvy dealer buyer who buys a centsles MS68, knowing he is actually buying a au50, perhaps even cleaned. Censtles has NO scruples and even slabs fakes.... NOT illegal apparently in the US. their slaps are now showing up in high end European auctions, being advertised as rare grade coins.... and the other fact is their return policy.... This, according to an assistant to the Florida AG, saves their bacon... so far.

Since were talking about the slabs being faked - can some one tell me how to spot a fake slab? I've usually stayed away from slabs myself... but thought this in itself might be a good topic of discussion....
