Last year at this time I attended a local coin auction and made out like a bandit (off-metal 1982-D LMC PCGS63 for $8, etc.). Well, those nice boys held another one and I got a kitchen pass to attend. There were over 400 lots of just about every denomination and type. Only 19 bidders showed up so prices were in the cellar. From memory here's what I managed to win:
-Two 1999-D mint sets $10 total
-1922 Peace MS63 $19
-1878 8TF Morgan XF $18
-1840-O Seated Half VG-8 $10
-1853 Arrows/Rays Seated Half G-6 $7
-1996 ASE MS69 $35
-2003 ASE NGC69 $20
-2006 ASE NGC69 First Strike $20
-Two IHC both at least MS60 (1903 and 1906) $7 each
-1840 Seated half dime (no drapery) F-12 $10
-1858-O Seated half dime VF35 $8
-1865 and 1867 3CN both VG to Fine $5 each
-Five 2-cent pieces four G-4 and one holed $10 for the lot
-Set of 4 Merc dimes 1916-P XF, 1916-S XF, 1919-D G6, 1919-S G6 $10 (I took a closer look at the 16-P when I got home and saw a "ghost D" possibly from a glued-on mintmark. I need to put it under the scope)
-And other odds and ends.

I also went to an auction last saturday, about 150 lots. Here is what I picked up

1884 CC morgan in GSA case MS 63 for $190
1882 CC Morgan in GSA case MS 63 for $210
1885 morgan ms 65 $50
1864 F Two Cent copper $15
1864 civil war token $16
1832 VF Bust half dollar $70
1914 S Barber half dollar & 1914 0 AG Barber .25 $13
1912 AG Barber half dollar 1908 8 VG Barber .25 $15

Also not alot of people at this auction either. About 20 people. only 10-15 were bidding. 1/4 oz gold was going for about $250-$300.
