Looks kind of risky though. Zoom on the "S" in the first pic.

Risky? kinda, but isn't that half the fun? Bidding without knowing for certain?

Gotta wonder if any bidders blew up the pics and compared to certified 09-S VDBs?
Here's a side-by-side. Not the best pic, but does that mm look OK?

Just for reference, the 4 mintmark positions possible for the 09-S VDB:

Way to risky for my blood. Buying this uncertified when it is THE most commonly counterfeited coin out there is crazy. Doubly so when the seller doesn't post a high resolution close up of the date and mint mark. Maybe I'd take a chance and spend $100-200 or so on the chance that it is the real thing. But with bidding approaching $900, you've got to think some of the bidders have no clue the mine field they are walking into!

You'd have to be crazy or a newbie to buy that coin uncertified.

I just read his "about me" page. Looks like he sells all kinds of memorabilia and not knowledgeable in coins. Even though he has a 14-day return privilege, I'd have to pass on this one. Looks like there may be environmental damage?
