Here are several New Purchases I've made over the last couple of weeks. I have gold fever BAD! All of them were certified except for the Bald Ealge commemorative! I will post better pictures of the Indians once I receive them. They don't really fit into my type set, although I am considering expanding the Basic Dansco gold type to include both "Motto" and "No Motto" types, as I love classic gold! The indian quarter eagle is my 3rd so far(1911, 1912, and now 1929), as I'm also attempting to collect the indian quarter eagle series as a whole.

Feel free to guess the grades on the 1852 Half Eagle and 1926 Eagle!(The half eagle was certified by PCI, and the $10 Indian Certified by NGC)

Nice coins! My guess on the half eagle is EF45.

Can't see the $10 piece very well, but how about AU55.

I really like the Indians, my favorite series in the classic US gold coins. Did you have to pay a higher premium because of the high price of gold right now?

Thanks. I'm still collecting the quarter eagle indians by set. I really don't have a good reason for buying the $10 eagle except for the fact that since I don't have a good reason to put it in my album, I will leave it in the slab and velcro it to the cover. Also, I really just like them as a series.

Okie: Yeah, the increase in gold price does hit the numismatic gold, but not quite as hard as bullion. The Indian is NGC MS-61, and went for $840. I probably could have got it a little under $800 a few months ago. Here are some better pictures. It is definitely mint state. Compare it to my 1912(residing in my album) that was certified AU-58 before I deslabbed it.

Nice Brewzz! Do the GSC coins look as good in hand as they do in the seller pics?

I'm totally drooling over your buffalos Brewzz! I plan to eventually get one in proof for the "proof page" of my gold album.

Here are some better shots of my 1929 quarter eagle that came in the mail today. I was surprised by the darkness and burnt orange look of the toning(comes out in the naturally lit photos). It even has some mild irridescence, but it was a very pleasant surprise as I love the orange peel look on toned 90% gold! My only disappointment with this coin is the reverse eagle detail is a bit weak for an AU-58. Oh well.
