I have whitmans that have been wrapped in tin foil for close to thirty years ,the coins look the same as the day they went in.
while I agree that whitmans are not a top tier storage they are not supposed to be for what they cost.
its also well known that it makes no difference "other than airtites and other such holders" that the storage method plays a huge role in how the coins weather the years.
any ,I repeat any card board/paper composite folder will ruin coins that are stored in high humidity, extreme temp changes and or exposure to other contaminates gas emitting paper, rubber,plastic and any number of other reactive products.
My permanent collection resides in airtites except for the folders which I collected as a kid in the 60's and 70's.
