Sorry folks,
This one I can not find a match on. 1880 are all doubled, and the (7) under the 1st (8) is easy. The last (8)I can not find anthing that is even like it! is the bottom a ? clash or maybe a (9). Both are below the date. I can not find in vamworld. The Rev. on this coin is an S/S type. ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE A HELP
Thanks Twohawks

twohawks,

Check VAM 38. That die chip on the right of the first 8 between the loops is a diagnostic for 16, 16A, 17, 38 and 62. VAM 38 is the only S/S of the bunch. I'm not convinced from the photos the the second 8 is an 8/7.

Well the spot on the last (8) is a depression and like some type of gouge. It is not something the lighting is placing there. SeatedNut where you busting my baseball equipment about my photo work before!! OH This is one out of my new "bucket of bucks"....I placed the story on my last post.

Can't remember "busting your baseball equipment", just a recommendation to post pictures of the entire obv and rev to give us a chance.

Here's a side by side photo of your 2d 8 and an 8 with a superimposed 7. The indentation and raised metal on your 8 are out of place.

Thanks SeatedNut,
I was looking on vamworld last night for this. The low spot under the far right is just messing with me. This is on of the 630 dollars. I just started to get interested in the VAM's, so if I start to drive some folks up a wall some needs only to tell me. I have around 2200 Peace and Morgans to go thru.

I truly am thankful for your help, as well as everyone else.

Over dates are not easy to spot. Be sure to look for other pick up points if possible.
