Sharing update Links on "Mayon" volcano shown on the Rev side of all Philippine-USA coins 1903-1945, in this case a 1905 1 Peso curved serif 1, 38mm, 0.900Fine, 27grams, minted in San Francisco.

Is really acting up lately this week.

From what I hear, it's on the precipice of eruption. That's one of my favorite coin designs ever, and my favorite part is the smoking volcano in the background.

The lava fall on the beginning of the video is pretty scary.
Mt. Mayon is so steep that an eruption can really pick up speed downhill.
I hope everyone evacuates and stays safe during the eruption.

Appreciate the concern

I live in the center of a 120km circle radius that covers three active volcanos, Mt. Pinatubo which placed 10mm of white ash on my roof, the lake volcano "Taal" where tourists go, and "Mayon" volcano, they are all "big" ones. Depending on the eruption magnitude, it's relatively "safe" here

I just thought to connect that coin image of a volcano with real life events over here, to show a different perspective of reality on a coin. Glad it was interesting to you as to me
