I have seen Kennedy proofs referred to as Cameo and Deep Cameo. What does this mean? Does it have something to do with the strike? From what I can deduce is that its not referring to the condition. Can someone please shed some light on this subject, I appreciate the help.
Quote: Deep Cameo The term applied to coins, usually Proofs and prooflike coins, that have deeply frosted devices and lettering that contrast with the fields - often called "black and white" cameos. Specifically applied to those 1950 and later Proofs that meet deep cameo standards (DCAM).
