Menlo Park would have been a good choice. Even though Thomas Edison wasn't born in New Jersey, his Laboratories were in Menlo Park and nearby West Orange. Although being from New Jersey, I like having Ellis Island on the Quarter. It is a nice change and it should clear up some misconceptions about what state the Island is in.

I remember the courts decided sometime in the 1990's that Ellis Island is in New Jersey, except for a small portion of the Island which is in NY waters.
