These are my notes that I have been left from my late Grandmother.

My-Australian-Notes---Pre-Dec-&-Decimal

I sent scanned pictures of these 2 notes to different dealers and also took them to a coin and note fair held at Malvern town hall. A well known dealer from Sydney will be looking at these notes when he comes to Melbourne to actually professionaly grade them for me in January. These have been valued (so far) to be more then what I will write on here but they will be kept for safe keeping and later sold for my retirement.

This note I got in change at a horse racing track in country Victoria, cos it was so crisp I took it home, then read in the renniks book and found out it was a first issue note

Bought these of ebay, consec serials in unc

This note I know isn't Australian but I cant find what they are worth, if anyone can give me an approx pricing on it, it would be appreciiated. The note is unc itself but does have some writing on it of a persons name. Dont know what then the note would be graded as.

I would also like to thatnk anyone that has posted in my previous topics about some of these notes. Special thanks to Lateman.

Very nice notes. Did your Grandmother collect notes or just happen to save those all those years?

Yeah she collected them mate, from about 1920 onwards, I've only just found out that a small part of the collection got split up. I have the cases but no coins in the cases. She also had to sell some of the collection to pay for items eg - air con at her house. I've also been givin a coin collection with approx 150 - 200 coins. She used to have a 1923 half penny but sold it in the mid 80's, bit of a bugger but worse of all is that she took a lot of the coins to get valuated in the mid 80's to a person who "lost/stole" a 1930 penny. She didnt relise till months afterwards. She was really annoyed about it but being in her 60's or 70's at the time she couldnt be bothered chasing it up and it was till just before she died she told my mum (her daughter) who was very very p****d off that she didnt tell her or her brothers about it for them to chase it up. I've been givin all the notes though. There arent many of them but I have been biten by the bug and have started to collect, mainly notes in the hope to pass down to my children one day. I can tell you that walking into a coin and note fair and being twice as young as the next bloke is very daunting!

I'm sorry to hear about the stolen coin; that sucks when people take advantage of old folks. How nice it is that your grandmother left you some coins and notes and you will continue the collection. It sounds like you have a great start with your collection. I wish that I had started when I was younger; things were much cheaper then.
