Hello all. My apologies for staying away so long. I've been on a "coin collecting low" if you will. However, with the finding of a silver War Nickel in the ol register, I'm beginning to feel the itch coming back, as it always does.

With that said, I hope to have some more things to post in the near future, but for now, the following will have to do...

First, there is a 1920 Half Penny (which I assume is Canadian...not 100% sure) which my parents found somewhere in a box they got from a yard sale. Here's a couple quick pics:

Then, a couple of days ago, my mom said "oh I got a Canadian penny today." Well I assumed it to be pretty new...nothing special, so I didn't bother looking at it. Well today I happened to see it lying on the table and to my surprise it's a 1925!

Thanks for looking! Any input on mintages, value, or any info in general is greatly appreciated. I know very little about coins outside of the U.S.

Halfpenny is from Great Britain, mintage in 1920 over 35 mill. In this condition it isn't worth much. Canadian cent, on the other hand, could be something, for 1925 sports the lowest mintage figure for the type, just above one million. I'll let the experts talk about its value.

Well...the 1925....its a shame about the green, as inderneath this may very well be corrosion. Ill let the experts ring in about how to deal with this. Don't try to scrape it off.
values? Yep with a mintage was just slightly over 1 million...1,000,622
Here we go. Sorry trends does not post a Good value.
VG-28
F-32
VF-40
EF-65
AU-120
MS-BROWN-275
MS-REDBROWN-500
MS-RED 900
I dunno, with the corrosion ya got there perhaps you can get a Good or VG grade for it?
Once again lets hang tight for the more knowledgeable.

The 1925 is an important date for the small cent series. It has the lowest mintage for the GV small cents but lags behind the 1923 in value. For what reason, I've never discovered. It is tougher to find than the 1923. Nice find in any condition.
