Looks like unusually large quarter dollar barber with word "copy" on rev.
Year is 1892, Quarter Dollar, size at 47.7mm diameter and 3.5mm thick, weight 46.6grams with number "H1718" marked on it's edge.

Looks like silver plated? what is it for?
(sorry my camera cannot focus due to glare)

At 48mm it's much larger than a silver dollar, let alone a quarter. However, it's not quite big enough for a drinks coaster, so I can't say what it's "for". Maybe the reason they made it is simply "because we can".

It's a commemorative round of the Barber quarter Dollar, possibly issued in 1992 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary.

Thanks Sap and Echizento! Its an interesting coin, but the thing that turned me off is the stamped word "copy", it's obviously too big to be real, so why bother stamping "copy"?
is it worth trading for anything? or simply just for show?

Comments appreciated...

The law requires the producers and private mints to stamp "copy" visible to the naked eye in reproductions, alas, same/similar designs of authentic coins. Any reputable company would do that, otherwise, the practice is known as "counterfeiting".
