These appear to be gasoline station giveaways from the late 60's early 70's. The one in the bottom left probably shows the common reverse. Notice it says Burman Shell. These may not have been a Shell Oil company item and may have just been a promotion by an individual station owner (The workmanship is rather crude compared to the Oil company giveaways.)

So would these be fairly common or rare?

Thanks

I do not know how rare they are. In fact they are the fist ones I have ever seen. They look cool to me. Thanks for sharing and to the forum.

"Burmah-Shell" was a joint-venture oil company, between British-based Burmah Oil and Dutch-based Shell Oil, which traded in colonial and post-independence India. In 1976, the Indian government purchased and nationalized the company, which became Bharat Petroleum. The company still traded in Pakistan as Pakistan Burmah Shell until Shell took over complete operations in 1993.

So presumably these medals are Indian in origin, and presumably from the 1960's or early 1970's.
