I decided since I had a number of different Canadian quarters that had fallen my way over time to try to put together a post 1900 type set of them, but can't figure out what that is. Pretty much figured out up to and including 2000, but even with Krause and Wikipedia I am confused on what there is 2001 to current. Not interested in any that are proof only, just coins released for circulation. Can one of our fine northern friends list for me the 2001 and newer Canadian quarters?

Good luck with that collection...certainly obtainable and it is guaranteed to be fun.Canada uses the 25 cent as its primary coin for commerative releases so your in for a pleasant surprise.
It looks like you really need some links that has images, and I am noticing the one above is missing alot of them.
I will look on my work-lap top later tonight for what may be a better resource, a little more cut and dry, but in the interum please browse the pages below and observe the commerative 25 cent coins listed amongst them.

Still confused. John, the first link just seems to list coins by date without telling me when a new type is introduced. World Coin Gallery is one of the resources I used, but I am finding between WCG, Krause and Wikipedia they have three different lists that don't match. Just want a type set list for circulation quarters, not trying for each year if only change is date or mint mark.

Part of the problem I'm having that I need help with is telling what are circulation issues and what are not. World Coin has great pictures but no info to go with them. Krause also does not do well distinguishing NIFC from regular issues.

2002P crowned portrait,double date 1952-2002 on obverse
2003P-2006P uncrowned portrait

WpgLwr- Now we're getting closer to what I need for my list, but are all of those Caribou's different? Which are just different dates vs different type?

And what's the story with Canada Day coins? Is there one for each year? Starting with what year? Are they NIFC or released into circulation?

Canada Day coins (with the exception of 2002's) are NIFC.

2001 Caribous come in nickel and plated steel (hence the P found under the Queen). All look the same except for the difference in dates, but note that there was a change in the Queen's picture in 2006 plus there was the addition of the mint logo.

Forgot one! The 2002 Caribou carries no date on the front -- that year, it was moved to the back and was double-dated 1952-2002.
