Please note that there are 2 types of Cindy Klassen colourized coins- subtle differences in the width of the maple leafs- I am not sure yet whether one was made only for sets, or whether both will show up in circulation. See the Cindy Klassen stream for details.

Sigh..... What happened to the good old days, when the Mint just produced one coin a year.

I think 2000 to 2009 is the most confusing decade in Canadian coin collecting history.
2003 has two different queen effigies on all coins 2006 has two different mint marks on all coins 2009 has plain and colorized versions of quarters.

Time for some updated info.
1) Are all 8 of the War of 1812 quarters dated 2012, even though the last two were released in 2013?
2) Was a 2013 caribou minted?
3) Are there any other 2013 circulating quarters?
Also, if I was to buy some quarter rolls from a Canadian bank, would I be able to find the later coins (1812, colorized, etc) in them, or is the only way to get those is to buy from dealers?
Also (off topic) can you still get cent rolls from banks in Canada?

1) Two are dated 2013 2) Yes 3)Caribou,Secord,and de Salaberry Yes you'll find them in rolls which are obtainable at banks. Some banks will still sell cent rolls,I bought 17 last Friday, there doesn't seem to be many here.

Ok, time for the OP to jump back in for a new update. My quarters are current through the War of 1812 set (eight different, right?) but what is this about new circulation issues on life in the cold or something? How many, what themes, plain, colored, or both, mintage years, etc.? Well we are at it, anything new to add to my other denominations Canadian type set? Last cents- 2003 onward, new portrait; 2012 Last nickel- 2003 onward, new portrait; 2005 WW2 comm. Last dime- 2003 onward, new portrait Last half- 2001 onwards, plated steel; 2002 Golden Jubilee Last Loonie- 2012 onward, new material 2012 Grey Cup 2012 Olympics Last Twonie- 2012, new material 2012 HMS Shannon
Anything new for a circulation type set on any of these?

Just out, jgfindring: http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/about...eases-700002The topmost has a link to the new quarters. They're also available for purchase at FV with no taxes or shipping from the Mint's web page. Look under "circulation and base". The direct link is: http://www.mint.ca/store/buy/circul...ns-cat120010Of course, you also can simply wait to find them in your change.

Since I'm in Virginia in the U.S., I'ld guess at the rate I get Canadian quarters in my change down here, it's going to be about 112 years to collect them from my change.

Oh, right! Sorry about that. That means you may not be able to order directly from the Mint's website, either. At least, probably not with free shipping.

I just tried to order them and the Mint charged $12.99 for shipping, making the set $15.99. However, a pop-up appeared stating that the quarters are NOT SHIPPABLE to the U.S..
Looks like I have to get them second hand again, or go to Windsor sometime and buy them at the post office.
