I would have preferred an AU-58 for the lower price but I really like the color. Was surprised to get it for only that. Edited by coinguybrian 01/05/2010 02:22 am

Are you telling how much you gave for it?

Nice, I'll have to buy one of these for my 7070 but they seem really expensive, especially in higher grades.

Seems like a good price. I've never owned a double dime but like the looks of that one.
Nice pick up.

What a gorgeous coin. Mind sharing the grade, for those lazy among us who haven't mined Teletrade results?
Not that I'm lazy, but....

MS-62. I'll take some photos once I get it. They've shipped it already.

My first impression was of an overgraded slider but I am not sure. The legs appear to dull when it rotates under the light. However, I see this in other areas as well, and have seen this on other unc coins in the past so I don't know if this is just 'luster scuffing' or a 'toning issue' as opposed to rub.
I will post pictures, and I would appreciate if you guys helped me with this, because the return fee is $50 on this coin (rip off) and I want to avoid that any way I can if possible. But I don't want to crack it if there's a serious chance it is AU-58.
Then again, I do not know if I am just seeing things, and this is typical with these, or something.

A 62 is often given to nice looking slider but with the toning it's really a tough call from the images.
My first thought would be why isn't it a 63? You got a good price so if the eye appeal is good, I'd hang onto it.

Slider is a coin that has a tiny bit of wear on the highest points from being slid in and out of albums, hence the term. There seems to be a bit of debate in some circles whether they should considered AU since they probably have never actually circulated, though.
