Here's something I ran across today--a whiskey token with real "woodgrain". I just thought this was interesting for some reason, so I picked it up.
I know nothing about these tokens, other than this looks like an ad piece--and may be from the prohibition/depression era.
The brand "Old Drum" sounds like a bootleg still, and "get the most for your money" evokes the Depression to me--but those are just guesses.
I found a mention in this bottle collector's journal--any other info would be appreciated.

Nice old token....with the grain effect. Makes me wonder if it had any thing to do with the 75% grain neutral spirits as listed in this 1939 ad..

Wow...that's cool finding that ad! The token seems to match the era of that ad.
Also good to know that's what "Old Drum" meant...no doubt you felt that drum the next morning.
